Holiday Street Style

The countdown to Christmas has officially begun! Naturally, I couldn't wait to dress the part.

For some reason people seem to think that the answer to festive dressing is sequins, sequins, and more sequins.  I, on the other hand, try to shine all year round. If you keep your sparkle to only the month of December, you might as well wear Uggs, a denim mini skirt, and call it a day. Think outside the box people, please.

Now don't get me wrong, I am in FULL support of being sparkly at this time of year, too, but please don't call it quits with a sequin mini dress for NYE #basic. Try to find unique ways to entertain the sparkle- like this sheer gold top below. Unfortunately it is hard for camera's to pick up shine but let me tell you, this baby SHINES. 

Paired this little number with some olive green and burgundy for a truly Christmas ready outfit. Added a DIY velvet ribbon bow around my neck for a final touch- a gift from me to you.
