Not all Holiday Fits are Created Equal.

I hate to be cliché with a red sweater and sparkle statement necklace, but these bell-sleeves and chunky choker were screaming at me this week. Obnoxiously feminine and holiday-esque so I balanced that with a skin-tight leather pencil (a serious steal from Zara a couple years ago- fits like a GLOVE), black socks, and black patent oxfords (another steal, this time from Dune London for $30 on black Friday). YAS. The leather + patent give the look some serious edge and strays from the typical A-line midi and pointed pumps that I am sure would be everyone's go-to.

Snagged this sweater from Shein- an online retailer based in China which I have always been hesitant about due to their mediocre shipping reviews and mostly one-size fits all selection. However, my girlfriend and fashion guru behind The Darling Two, said she has only had pleasant experiences. When yet another girlfriend of mine gave me the A O K, I decided to check it out. Ended up purchasing 4 over-sized knits all around $20 and all insanely soft, fitting, and came within 2 weeks. I would suggest sticking to basics and not trying anything fancy but please report back with any findings.

Another good story lies in my fabulous clutch. I was on the hunt about 3 years ago for a NYE bag that wasn't going to cost me over $100 and still looked chic. As I was hopelessly walking out of Macy’s I miraculously stumbled upon the Estee Lauder makeup counter which was promoting this bag as a free gift with purchase. HI PERFECT OK YES SOLD. Bought a lipstick and voila! Lesson 1 million in never settling and serious due diligence always pays off.

I hope you appreciate the serious inception selfie- totally digging it.
